California Employer Injury Reporting Workbook (DWC-1, Form 5020, Cal/OSHA 8-Hour)
Enter the date and time your organization learned of a California workplace injury. The workbook shows each California clock on one row: the DWC-1 claim form to the employee within one working day, the Cal/OSHA serious-injury report within 8 hours, the Log and incident-report recording period, and the Form 5020 report to the claims administrator. Form 5020's rule gives five days without saying calendar or working days, so its date appears only after you choose an assumed basis on Settings, and is labeled Assumed. Working days skip weekends and the Holiday Calendar, a starter list for 2026 and 2027 to which you add California state holidays and your own closures. Each rule sits in a cited, versioned reference row with a last-verified date and a status flag, and the workbook calculates only from what you enter. It is reference material, not legal advice. You decide and you file, and no state form is reproduced.
