Texas Employer Injury Reporting Workbook (Covered and Non-Covered Employers)
Enter the first day of absence and this Texas workbook computes the DWC Form-001 clock: eight days from the first day of absence (when the employee misses more than one day) or from notice of an occupational disease. The rule does not say calendar or working days, so the due date appears once you choose an assumed basis on Settings, and is labeled Assumed. A coverage path screen shows, from the coverage status and employee-trigger answer you enter, whether a site is on the covered path (insured or self-insured) or the non-covered path. For the non-covered path, a monthly Form-007 register computes each month's due date, the 7th of the following month. Federal OSHA 8-hour, 24-hour and 301 seven-day clocks run alongside for Texas sites, and every date is read from a cited, versioned rule row: the Form-007 and employee-copy rows are Verified, and the Form-001 row is Unverified until its day basis is confirmed.
